You Can’t Change The Past

You can’t change the past; you can only learn from it.

Does the past have you down? Maybe it’s a past business failure or a partnership that didn’t work out. Do you keep replaying the past in your mind, imagining all the ways you could have done it differently?

The past is in the past. Unless someone invents a time machine, you can’t go back and change it. Do I have to send you to watch The Lion King? Fine, go and watch The Lion King. 😊🦁

It’s not about forgetting what happened. It’s about accepting what happened, learning from it, and focusing on today.

Breathe a little. Where are you at the present moment? Are you in a peaceful place? Do you see anything beautiful in your present surroundings? What would bring you joy at this current moment? It could be something small, like getting ice cream or smelling a rose.

You are not in the past anymore. Focus on the great things around you today. If your mind wanders to the past, it’s OK. Just remember to refocus it. You can’t start today with the baggage of yesterday.
